Copa Sudamericana

The Copa Sudamericana is an annual football club competition organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). It is considered the second most prestigious club tournament in South America, ranking below the Copa Libertadores. The tournament features clubs from various South American countries, competing in a knockout format. The Copa Sudamericana was established in 2002, and it aims to provide clubs that may not qualify for the Copa Libertadores an opportunity to compete on an international stage. The competition has gained significant recognition and prestige over the years, with the winner earning a spot in the following year’s Copa Libertadores as well as a chance to compete in the UEFA-COPA Sudamericana Cup.
